Meet Sadie, the dog that inspired the name - Anything's Pawsible!
On August 6 2009, Casi stumbled upon a hidden treasure at the local Edmonton Humane Society. Her name was Sadie and she was a small German Shepherd cross that had been surrendered by her previous owner due to behavioral issues. After spending only five minutes with this skinny little mutt, two things were certain: one, she was beyond intelligent, and two: she would be coming home with Casi. Soon after bringing Sadie home it was apparent that her behavioral problems included aggression towards strangers, bikes, skateboards, as well as a nasty streak of possessiveness. In addition to her dangerous behavior, Sadie had no obedience training and would bolt at any given opportunity.
Casi spent only a few days teaching Sadie some simple obedience commands and then they were both off to school in BC to become a dynamic duo of dog and dog trainer. On the very first day of school, Sadie managed to jump out of the car window and run away and then later wiggle out of her collar to initiate a game of "Catch me if you can." Throughout the next 3 months Sadie was vigorously exercised and taught basic through advanced obedience while Casi received her certification as a Dog Trainer. Casi discovered that Sadie had a very high prey drive, which she channeled into Sadie’s favorite toys like ropes, balls and Frisbee’s.
It is because of this drive that Sadie has been able to master over 500 trained responses. Now, almost two years later, Casi has almost run out of things to teach this once unwanted dog. They have trained and excelled in flyball, rally obedience, some agility and of course plenty of tricks. In addition, Sadie has become friendly with most if not all strangers and willingly ignores all bikes and skateboards. Although she continues to be greedy when it comes to her toys, she is no longer categorized as possessive or aggressive. These days, Sadie is often seen jumping trees, fences and garbage cans on command at her favorite place on earth: the local dog park. Sadie has been an inspiration to many and is now our company ambassador and our unwavering motivation behind the motto "Anything’s Pawsible."
